Your account and privacy
Choose which orgs show on your public profile, show or hide your Discord name, add an email address, or delete your SC Orgs account.
Updated 2026-10-26
Your SC Orgs account comes from your RSI Citizen ID, and everything you can change is on one page: Settings, in the menu under your handle. From there you choose which orgs show on your public profile, whether your Discord name is visible, which email addresses SC Orgs uses, download your data, and you can delete your account.
Choose what's on your public profile
Your public profile is at sc-orgs.space/profile/<your handle>. It shows your avatar, your handle, when you joined, how many events you've organised, and your communities with your roles in them.
- Open Settings.
- Under Profile Visibility, untick any community you don't want on your public profile.
Changes save as you click. A hidden community still lists you to its own members, but not to anyone outside it.
Show or hide your Discord name
- Open Settings › Linked Accounts.
- Tick or untick Show Discord Publicly. When it's on, your Discord name shows on your Looking for Org listing and your applications, so orgs can contact you.
Discord comes from your Citizen ID account: see Get started on SC Orgs.
Add an email address
- Under Email Addresses, type your address in Add email address and click Add →.
- Open the verification email and click the link within 24 hours.
- The address now shows ● Verified. Use Resend if the email didn't arrive, or Remove to delete an address.
SC Orgs only emails verified addresses, and only for notifications you've turned on: see Manage your notifications.
Download your data
- Under Privacy & Data, click Export next to Export My Data.
- Your browser downloads sc-orgs-data-export-<date>.json.
The file has your profile, email addresses, memberships, the events you created and registered for, your comments and comment votes, your upvotes and ratings, and your notification settings.
Log out
Click Log Out at the bottom of Settings, or Sign Out in the menu under your handle. This ends your session on this browser: SC Orgs signs it out on the server too, so your login can't be reused from it. You stay signed in on your other browsers and in the companion app.
Delete your account
- Under Privacy & Data, click Delete next to Delete Account.
- Click Confirm Delete.
This permanently removes your account, your memberships, your comments, upvotes and event registrations, your email addresses and your notifications. It can't be undone.
What you created for your communities stays with them: events, knowledge base articles, dispatch calls, treasury records, invites, and reviews you wrote. Where your name was, they show Deleted user.
If you own a community, hand it to someone else first (Manage › Danger Zone › Transfer Ownership, see Register your org) or delete it. Until then SC Orgs won't delete your account: it tells you which community you still own, and you stay signed in.
Advanced
- Your name and handle. Identity shows your username, RSI handle and Spectrum ID. They come from Citizen ID and RSI, so you can't edit them here: change them on RSI, then sign in again.
- Language. Display Language changes the language of the site itself. Content Language sets the default language filter when you browse orgs and events.
- Cookies. Under Privacy & Data › Cookie Preferences, Enable or Disable analytics cookies, or Reset to be asked again. The choice is stored in your browser.
- Your ships. In My Hangar, each ship has a Visible/Hidden switch per org, which decides whether it shows in that org's fleet.
